Prickly Pear Creek Relocation wins Grand Award

HELENA – The Prickly Pear Creek Relocation won the Grand Award in Engineering Excellence. The Montana Environmental Trust Group made the announcement Monday, recognizing the realignment project in East Helena for reducing groundwater contamination, according to a press release from the Council of Engineering Companies. It also created 50 new acres of wetlands and 100 new acres of flood plain, to ease downstream flooding.
