East Helena students get taste of farm life

EAST HELENA – East Helena students had the chance to experience farm living Tuesday (May 14). The Prickly Pear Simmental Ranch hosted more than 140 kids for the 3rd annual Lewis and Clark County Farm Bureau’s Ag Day, where students learned about livestock, farming techniques, soil health, erosion and more at the annual event, aimed at teaching kids where their food comes from and hopefully inspire some of them to consider a career in agriculture in Montana, officials said.
