Former Helena College employee pleads guilty to theft charges

MISSOULA — A former Helena College employee has pleaded guilty to theft charges. Helena College Director of Facilities Matthew Schmidt was charged on Nov. 8, after he allegedly misused a work credit card, for his personal Amazon account. Helena Municipal Court documents alleged that on Oct. 9, Schmidt ordered headlights for his personal vehicle with college funds, the Missoulian reports. The matter has been turned over to the Helena Police Department.
