Holiday shoppers spending more online this year

With Christmas fast approaching, consumers increasingly jumped on their phones rather than standing in line for a record-breaking Black Friday. Black Friday shoppers spent $7.4 billion online, marking the biggest sales day ever for Black Friday and trailed only last year’s Cyber Monday’s $7.9 billion, according to Adobe’s data. Cyber Monday 2019 is expected to ring up $9.4 billion in purchases, experts report. Small Business Saturday online spending was expected to surpass $3 billion for the day. Online sales are up about 20% from last year, according to Adobe.
