COVID19 prompts cancellation of ACT testing this spring

High school juniors who miss ACT testing this spring because of COVID19 restrictions will have a chance to take the test in the fall. The Montana Office of Public Instruction announced Tuesday that the college entrance exam, originally scheduled for March 24, will be given for free in the fall. Make up dates for schools are Oct. 6, Oct. 20 and Nov. 3. Aditionally, Montana education officials have requested a waiver to skip the federally-required standardized Smarter Balanced tests for students in grades 3-8. Officials say they expect to hear about its status Thursday.
