HELENA – After a months long investigation a former writer for the Silver State Post has confessed to possessing child pornography.
A judge sentenced Rex Thomas Kendall, 62, of Deer Lodge on Thanksgiving to 35 months in prison and 15 years of supervised release, in connection to the case, in which the editor of the local paper, which contracted with Kendall to write stories, found child porn images on a Kendall’s computer at work, and called authorities who began the investigation last year.
