Helena Public Schools is making outdoor masking optional

Helena Public Schools is making outdoor masking optional at its more than dozen facilities. On Friday, the district sent out a letter to parents about the revision which will allow students and staff the option of removing their mask outdoors. The letter noted the policy revision could be implemented at all schools starting Monday, April 19. Superintendent Tyler Ream said most COVID-19 guidance for schools does not require outdoor masking, which played into the districts decision.
