Lewis and Clark County Sheriff’s Dept., asking for help caring for dozens of neglected horses

After the care of nearly 60 neglected horses seized Tuesday fell on the Lewis and Clark County Sheriff’s Dept., the community is being solicited for help. Sheriff Dutton said his office began caring for 58 horses taken from a Helena Valley property, and, on Wednesday the community showed up at the Lewis and Clark County Fairgrounds, with bales of hay. Dutton said they have also received monetary donations to support the horses’ care. Call the Sheriff’s Office if you can help. Dutton said they will be setting up a bank account for donations Thursday.
