Crews begin cleaning dangerous debris in the wake of Boulder 2700 Fire

KALISPELL, MONT. — Debris left in the wake of the Boulder 2700 Fire along Highway 35, threatened power lines and the hundreds of cars a day that travel the stretch of highway. The fire burned more than 2,200 acres and destroyed over two dozen structures prompting the closure of Highway 35 intermittently as crews began cutting down dozens of dangerous trees Tuesday. Two- to three-man teams will continue cleaning up debris this week.
