HELENA, Mont. – A Lewis and Clark County Sheriff’s Deputy was called to Fort Harrison for a report of a sexual assault. The victim reported that John Clements Newell, 31, entered her room without permission, pinned her on the bed with his hand and body weight, and raped her while also strangling her, documents state. Newell has been charged with aggravated sexual assault and strangulation of partner or family member.
