HELENA, Mont. – Fires continue raging in Montana. Officials said right now the top priority fire burning in the Northern Rockies is the Horsethief Fire, which has scorched over 300. The largest fire currently burning in Montana is the Trail Creek Fire, at more than 57,000 acres. The five largest fires currently burning in Montana are Forest Service fires. As of Monday, there are 11 large fire incidents in Montana, and the state is in preparedness level 2.
