HELENA, Mont. – A 24 hour waiting period after getting your black bear hunting license will no longer be required in the state. Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks says the 2021 Black Bear Regulations booklet is no longer accurate in stating hunters must wait 24 hours after being issued a bear license. The requirement was eliminated by the 2021 Montana Legislature.
