Missoula Montana Airport has gained the status as a small-hub airport. Airport officials said Tuesday that the status is a result of the airport’s growth in passengers and flights. The designation was announced during a Federal Aviation Administration meeting in Helena earlier this month and places the airport into a separate funding category that comes with new requirements.
