Montana woman accused in 2020 death of boyfriend sentenced to 40 years

DILLON – A 21-year-old Montana woman accused in the 2020 strangulation death of her boyfriend will spend 4 decades behind bars. A judge sentenced Sandy Rose Moore to 40 years in the Montana Women’s Prison on Tuesday for the January 2020 death of 49-year-old Larry Coon who she told the court she was sorry for killing and thought about it every night. Police found Coon’s body between the washer and dryer at their Dillon home, with a plastic bag over his head.
