Motorists had to be rerouted for about 30 minutes during a police stand off on the west side of Helena Thursday evening. Traffic was diverted in the 1900 block of Euclid where a man told police he had been shot with a rubber bullet and SWAT was dispatched to the area after the suspect refused to turn himself. According to the release, Kacey S. Gessner, 33, of Helena, eventually surrendered and was arrested. The investigation is ongoing, the HPD release states.
