Helena residents struggling to keep their electric on this winter are getting some help

HELENA, Mont. – With high inflation rates and home heating prices rising, Helena residents can get some help keeping their electricity on this winter. The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) announced that $27 million in federal funding for the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance (LIHEAP) programs are now available through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) to help Montanans with heating bills and to weatherize homes. Eligible Montanans can find application information at liheap.mt.gov.
