Following a years long legal battle, the Montana Supreme Court has upheld a District Court ruling to suspend a Helena doctors medical license, siding with a decision by the Montana Board of Medical Examiners. Dr. Mark Ibsen’s license had been suspended by the board in 2016 following claims from 2013 that he over prescribed narcotics to some patients and ordered early refills of pain medications. The recent ruling likely brings an end to litigation that lasted more than eight years.
