Montana Supreme Court reverses Miles City man’s 80 year sentence

HELENA, Mont. (AP) – The Montana Supreme Court has reversed a Miles City man’s 80 year sentence for a 2018 attempted deliberate homicide. Banner Lee Boyd is accused of threatening to stab a bar owner in the heart during a 2018 confrontation. In a recent ruling, however, the justices said that because he did not act on his threat the charge should be dismissed. The 44 year old was also charged with assaulting an officer and was sentenced to 10-years which he will still have to serve.
