A rally at the state Capitol Thursday was aimed at showing support for jailed protestors who participated in the deadly Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection. On the one year anniversary of the incident, in which several people died, including police officers, about 20 people turned out for the event co-sponsored by the Montana Daily Gazette. The Montana Human Rights Network (MHRN) denounced the small gathering, saying the day, “shouldn’t be about paying tribute to the insurrectionists.”
