The Helena City Commission has made a decision on who will be the long-term interim city manager. At a special meeting Tuesday, commissioners unanimously selected Tim Burton to fill the vacancy following former manager Rachel Harlow-Schalk’s resignation last month. Contract negotiations are underway for Burton, who previously served nine years as Helena’s city manager, from 2000 to 2009, and commissioners said a final agreement is expected to be completed at a special meeting on March 23.
