HELENA – State wildlife officials are issuing a reminder as grizzly bears emerge from their dens across Montana. Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks (FWP) notes that bears now being seen in areas where they haven’t been for more than a century, and that could result in conflicts with farmers, ranchers and other producers. Bears are always looking for an easy food source, and officials advise making sure all trash is secured, like spilled grain and livestock carcasses, all of which can attract bears.
