Friday’s Vigilante Parade drew a large crowd

Friday’s Vigilante Parade drew a large crowd as folks welcomed back the event after a COVID hiatus. This year marks the 98th year for the parade, which kicked off Friday with more than 70 student-made floats taking over Last Chance Gulch as they made their way past families and judges enroute to the Civic Center. The first parade was in 1924 and was created as a safer alternative to a bloody class rivalry tradition known as the “junior-senior fight.”
