HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Henderson, Ky. police (HPD) say they arrested a Montana man on identity theft charges Friday [May 20]. Police identified Thomas Cates of Libby, Montana as the suspect linked to the incident and he was taken into custody during a routine traffic stop, in which he initially gave officers a fake name, according to a press release. The 39-year-old is also charged with improper display of registration plates, failure to maintain insurance and driving with a suspended or revoked license, according to officials.
