HELENA – The Helena- Lewis and Clark National Forest reported multiple new lightning-caused wildland fire over the past 12 hours. The Rising Moon Fire burning near Canyon Ferry Dam had burned an estimated 200 acres as of Tuesday. The Tamarack Fire started Monday night on BLM land and has burned over 480 acres. Just south of Wolf Creek, the South Fork Lyons Creek Fire is burning around 2 acres. And, the U.S. Forest Service is also keeping an eye on the Deer Creek Fire in the Scapegoat Wilderness.
