The driver that struck and killed a 10-year-old Helena girl on Canyon Ferry Road in June has been charged. The Lewis and Clark County Attorney’s Office filed the complaint against Brian Lane Robo Tuesday in Lewis and Clark County Justice Court, stemming from the fatal accident in which Robo swerved to avoid hitting a car that was turning at the intersection of Canyon Ferry Road and Bannack Drive, and drove into the 10-year-old who was riding her bike with a friend and had stopped to let the other vehicle turn, according to court reports. Robo is facing a charge of misdemeanor careless driving involving death.
