Two separate threats on Monday put Great Falls High School on high alert

The Great Falls Police Department arrested a 14 year old Monday [September 26] after a reported threat at Great Falls High School. The GFPD said in a news release that the incident began with the fire alarm being activated followed by a school wide text from someone later identified as a student, with an image that contained a photo of a sidewalk with the message, “Gonna shoot up the school today :))”. Students and staff were safely evacuated and said during an investigation it was determined that the fire alarm and threatening text were not related and were separate incidents.
