GREAT FALLS – A former worker at the Museum of the Plains Indian on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation is facing theft charges. Preston Jay Spotted Eagle admitted in Great Falls federal court on Monday [October 3] to stealing culturally significant artifacts, including a grizzly bear necklace, moccasins, and golden eagle feathers, while he was emplyed as an aide at the museum in 2021. He faces up to 10 years in prison when he’s sentenced on February 8, 2023.
