Helena-based Indian Law Resource Center will receive $20 million

The Helena-based Indian Law Resource Center will receive $20 million to expand and strengthen Indigenous land ownership rights in Mexico and Central and South America. The W.K. Kellogg Foundation awarded the funds Tuesday, as part of the five Racial Equity 2030 Challenge to help change systems and institutions that uphold racial inequities, including the denial of Indigenous land rights, in a restoration effort following more than 500 years of colonialism and oppression.
