PERMA – Few details are being released after a plane crashed into the Flathead River Sunday morning resulting in the pilot being killed. The Sanders County Sheriff’s Office states in a social media post that the aircraft went down at approximately 8:45 a.m. after striking power lines in the area just east of Perma Bridge. The pilot was flown to a Kalispell hospital where he was pronounced dead. This crash is being investigated by the National Transportation Safety Board.
