EAST HELENA – An East Helena man has been sentenced to jail time for his participation in the violent and deadly Jan. 6, Capitol insurrection. Joshua Hughes, 39, and his brother Jerod Hughes were some of the first rioters to breach the Capitol that fateful day, in which several people died, including police officers. On Tuesday in Washington D.C., a Federal District Court Judge sentenced Joshua Hughes to three years and two months in prison.
