UPDATE – Human foot found in Yellowstone Natl. Park belonged to elderly California man

UPDATE – Yellowstone National Park said in an update that the human foot found in Abyss Pool in the West Thumb Geyser Basin, belonged to a 70-year-old California man. A park employee found part of the foot in a shoe floating in Abyss Pool in August. After several weeks of investigations Yellowstone law enforcement officers received the positive identification based on DNA analysis and notified the family. According to a Nov. 17 news release, the investigation determined no foul play occurred. Based on a lack of evidence, the circumstances surrounding the elderly mans death remain unknown.
