HELENA — Forestvale Cemetery is still recovering from a powerful windstorm that hit Helena about a month ago.
As you enter the site you’re met with fallen trees and scattered branches, and Forestvale Cemetery supervisor, Bob Richards, says they’ve cleared out around 10 to 11 trees so far and are working to get in equipment to clear the remaining trees, but it’s expensive and the cold and snowy November and December have slowed progress. He says now they’ll have to wait until the ground starts thawing before they continue cleaning up the property.
