BILLINGS – Police say they’re continuing their investigation into a fatal weekend shooting in Billings. In a press update this week [Tuesday] authorities said they believe the incident began when a witness saw someone in a group fire a gun on Second Avenue South just before midnight Sunday on Billings South Side, so they grabbed that person’s gun, believing an “active assault” was taking place. More shots were fired, and one person was killed. Two other people were injured. The deceased was identified as, 26-year-old Randall James Jr.
