HELENA – As temperatures in the Helena area plunge to life-threatening levels, Lewis and Clark Area community agencies are stepping up to help those in need. The United Way is partnering with the city, county, and state, as well as, nonprofits, all working together to help house those looking for a place to stay, and in case there are serious power outages or other emergency situations. Helena officials said the city is mainly serving in a support role.
