Monday morning’s commute was impacted due to snow covered, slick roads

Monday morning’s commute was impacted due to snow covered, slick roads. There were several crashes reported along I-90 throughout Montana, according to the Montana Department of Transportation. Near Missoula, a vehicle crash at mile-marker 97.5, and at mile-marker 104 had traffic backed up. Near Bozeman, multiple traffic hazards reportedly delayed motorists, as well. And around Billings police were busy with several traffic crashes.

MEANWHILE….

Snowfall accumulations of up to 9 inches were anticipated to greet drivers, especially in the northern Bitterroot Valley. Numerous Winter Weather Advisories have also been issued across western Montana for accumulating snow, with at least 2 to 5 inches along I-90 and south, making travel treachorous. Snowfall probabilities are lower in valley locations, but the chance for light accumulations will remain. Temperatures will also remain below average for most through the week.
