St. Peter’s Health seeing overwhelming number of RSV infections

HELENA – RSV infections have been rising here in Montana recently. While the respiatory virus often mimics the common cold, some are more impacted than others, and St. Peter’s Health has seen a steady, and somewhat overwhelming, stream of severe cases of RSV on the children’s unit, a spokesperson said in a press release.
RSV usually only causes mild, flu-like symptoms in adults, but it can be particularly harmful to children especially those under the age of one.
