Back to back fentanly overdoses at the Lewis and Clark County Detention Center has prompted discussion about retraining officers. Officials said Wednesday that two women recently [Jan. 12] suffered fentanyl overdoses at roughly the same time, after they were booked into the jail following a drug bust in the Helena area. Sheriff Leo Dutton and his department took blame for missing the fentanyl on the body scanner, saying that retraining has been a top priority since this incident. The two women are under investigation for sneaking in contraband.
