Plans for two proposed developments within Helena are moving forward. Both Helena Food Share and a Billings-based developer met with city staff ahead of submitting building permit applications for a 19,000-square-foot Community Food Resource Center, as well as a 5,200-square-foot commercial facility in the Skyway Regional Shopping Center. The food bank expansion will allow the non-profit to house several divisions, currently at three separate locations, all under one roof, the organization noted. The Billings-based developer said Monday that the plan is to rent the space to a restaurant, and either a professional office or retail space.
