Federal funding awarded to state to address contaminants in drinking water

Federal funding from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act was awarded to the state to address contaminants in drinking water in Montana. The EPA said Monday that an $18,914,000 grant will be made available to promote access to safe and clean water in small, rural and disadvantaged communities while supporting local economies.
The money will help water providers invest in treatment technologies and solutions in the communities that need them most, according to an EPA spokesperson.
