A Helena man convicted of child rape is going to jail for a very long time. A Lewis and Clark County District Court judge ordered, Brandon Michael Watson, to 40 years in the Montana State Prison, with 30 suspended, for raping a child younger than 12, stemming from an investigation involving an elementary school student who told their mother about the sexual abuse in the fall of 2021.
