The longer than usual winter is setting records. The number of consecutive days with 1 inch or more of snow on the ground in Missoula marks the third-longest winter on record, since 1893. There were 111 days of snow, from Nov. 10 through Feb. 28, according to the National Weather Service in Missoula.
