MHP trooper seriously hurt on the job continuing to recover at Colorado hospital

MISSOULA – The Montana Highway Patrol (MHP) trooper who was seriously hurt while on the job is continuing to recover from his injuries. MHP reports Trooper Lewis Johnson remains at Craig Hospital in Colorado. According to a social media post, “Johnson now has less pain and has been able to focus more on his recovery and rehabilitation.” A GoFundMe has been set up to help the Johnson family with medical expenses. Trooper Johnson was seriously injured on Feb. 16 near Eureka while attempting to apprehend a suspect following a police pursuit.
