Red Lodge residents still digging out from under record-breaking snowfall

RED LODGE – Red Lodge residents spent most of Monday morning digging out from under record-breaking snowfall that hit the mountain town over the weekend. The snow storm came just in time for the first day of spring break on Friday and contiued into Sunday, leaving 4 foot high snow piles, burying vehicles, and impacting downtown businesses. More than 50 inches of snow covered Red Lodge Mountain forcing the cancellation of ski races scheduled for Saturday and Sunday. And, there’s even more snow in the forecast for later this week.
