A traffic stop led to a shoot out Tuesday with the GFPD. Great Falls fficers attempted to pull over a vehicle on Fifth Avenue South, near Longfellow Elementary School, and the occupants jumpted out of the car and ran away, prompting a foot chase that ended when the suspects opened fire on officers. One GFPD officer and one suspect were hospitalized with what are said to be serious injuries. The GFPD says that the incident remains under investigation.
