Helena residents will see a number of fee hikes for city services

Helena residents will see a number of fee hikes for city services. The commission passed four separate resolutions at Monday’s meeting to increase fees for services provided by Helena Police, Helena Civic Center, Last Chance Splash Waterpark and Pool, Helena Parks, Rec., and Open Lands, and the summer day care program Kay’s Kids, which was free, will now cost residents $25 a week. A public hearing for all fee increases will be held during the commission’s May 8 meeting, at which point the new rates are expected to be approved.
