Lewis and Clark Library launches fundraiser for new bookmobile

A capital campaign is expected to begin soon to raise nearly $1 million to purchase a new bookmobile for the Lewis and Clark Library’s mobile fleet, the library director said. The Lewis and Clark Library is hoping to replace the Bookmobile, whichn was purchased in 2012 and has seen better days, officials said Monday, with a newer one. Funds raised would also go toward the purchase of a delivery van to take books where people have trouble accessing the bookmobile, such as assisted-living facilities.
