HELENA, Mont. – A Republican pushed bill that would ban minors from attending drag shows and prohibit drag story hours in publicly funded libraries and schools cleared both chambers and is headed to the governor.
Critics say drag is a legitimate art form and that the definitions of “drag king” and “drag queen” in the bill could have serious consequences. A legal challenge is likely if the bill is signed into law.
