Four day trial ends with guilty verdict for Helena man accused in homicide

After a four day long trial for a Helena man charged in a homicide the jury returned with guilty verdicts. Jory Songer was found guilty of two felony counts of attempted deliberate homicide and two felony counts of assault with a weapon. Songer was accused of shooting two men on Aug. 18. He was served an arrest warrant for these charges while already in custody for another incident. The court ordered a presentence investigation and set sentencing for June 7.
