Helena judge rules nation’s first youth climate case can continue to trial

The nation’s first-ever youth constitutional climate case can continue to trial, a Lewis and Clark County judge ruled on Friday. The judge told attorneys they should prepare for proceedings in the case filed by the plaintiffs’ ranging in ages from 5-22, including from Big Fork, Helena, Livingston, and the Flathead Indian Reservation. Trial is set to start on June 12 in Helena.
