BUTTE – What is believed to be a human jawbone was found in the alley behind West Quartz Street in Butte. A resident stumbled upon the bone and reported it to Butte Police on May 10. Specially-trained K-9 officers from Helena and Bozeman searched the area thoroughly and found no other remains. Police believe the bone to be human and it has been sent to the Montana State Crime Lab for analysis, the release said.
